Beloved Illustrator Blasted by Fans Over Ferguson Artwork
Illustrator Mary Engelbreit, best known for her comforting and quaint images of children, provoked anger among her fan base with a Ferguson-themed artwork.
I had no idea who she was, but thought the reaction to this piece was newsworthy.

@George – Rockwell could be a lot more subversive than his Mom & Apple Pie image indicated. A lot of that was enforced by the editorial staff of The Saturday Evening Post. When he left the Post for Look, he was able to produce works like this (http://www.everydaycitizen.com/2008/02/norman_rockwell_and_the_civil.html has a few added examples).
