We'd be very very happy to host Thanksgiving this year for all the usual folk if that would be cool. Wouldn't want you to worry about that on top of all the reno!

Actually, we don't start in on the interior work until after the first of the year; until then will be excavation, foundation and piering, and framing and drying in the extended kitchen and basement. Goal is to basically dry in the outer shell before breaking through the wall to the interior, which happens early January (per plan).
So Thanksgiving will be perfectly doable here, and a nice send-off to the old kitchen. 🙂 But thanks for the offer — it's very much appreciated.
