A trailer is out for Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban.
Looks like more welcome screen time with Alan Rickman’s Severus Snape — and Gary Oldman as Sirius Black? Sweet.
(And Dawn French as the Fat Lady. Heh.)
It’s a darker book, so I’d expect a darker movie. And certainly the trailer comes across that way. Good news, indeed.

UPDATE: It appears that this is the 5000th post here at DDTB. How appropriate.
It may well mean more screen time for Snape – a good thing – but, for some strange reason “Alan Rickman” is the only actor whose character is mentioned but whose name does not appear on the official site for the trailer. Weird.
That is very, very strange, particularly in context.
They are joined by Gary Oldman who plays the ominous figure of Sirius Black, Michael Gambon, who takes on the role of Hogwart’s revered Headmaster Albus Dumbledore, Dame Maggie Smith who returns to play Professor McGonagall, the enigmatic Potions Professor Snape and Robbie Coltrane who plays Hagrid.
I’m guessing it’s a typo, but Mr Rickman probably needs to get his agent to make some calls.
