Which really deserves a picture, I suppose, but I’ve been a slacker.
Sugar remains sequestered in the guest room. When we went to the vet on Saturday, she confirmed the standard post-shelter upper respiratory tract infection, and said to keep her apart until it ends — and, oh, here’s some brown goo to squirt in her mouth and some white goo to do the same with.
Sugar’s actually not bad with the meds — she doesn’t like them, but I’ve never met a cat more restrained in scratching, despite the provocations, than her. And we’ve been trying to balance the meds with a lot of visits and petting, and yesterday, with the rains finally gone, she had run of the house for most of the day.
Can’t wait, though, for her kitty sneezes to go away, so we can further integrate her with the household. Mist seems particularly suspicious of what’s going on in there …
Hmmmm. I might need a “pets” category in this blog.
And, on an unrelated but parallel note, Kitten’s cold is also getting a lot better, and I suspect she’ll be back on normal schedule tomorrow. Huzzah!
ok, let’s have a race to see who will post new Kitty Photos’, you or Sammy.
You should have a Pets category. 😉 That kitty is precious. We have one cat in the house, I’ve always wondered how he’d get along with a new one if we were to get it. Ours is 2+ years old. He does have another kitty friend that I see him outside with (another male) but I don’t think he gets along with the rest of cats. Or dogs. Hope Sugar and Katherine feel better soon. 🙂
Yeah. One of these days when I have the inclination, opportunity, and recollection, I’ll have to add one. 🙂
And both Katherine and Sugar are doing fine. Sugar and Mist are examining each other carefully, but so far, despite some growls and hisses, no serious trouble. Yet. Sugar is definitely interested in being sociable; Mist is a lot more dubious about it.
