As Dave said before, we dusted off Torch and Kazima today and had some fun. I’ve only run duo with Kazima since the Caverns and was more than a bit rusty. I also realized that since Dave and I duo so much I don’t have a good feeling for how well I play her on a team.
So, I would sincerely like your feedback/constructive criticism on my style of play. And even though running Kazima was the impetus for this post, input on all my characters is welcome.
Thanks!
Well…do do scappers real well.
I so no difference between you and any other scrapper (*cough* myself included *cough*) out there.
Or…should Say…
*you* do scrappers real well.
Also, I have no problems with your style of play, and I am more then willing to have you on any team.
Plus…your scrappers are more in control then some that I’ve seen.
So, keep up the good work. 🙂
Ahh, so I don’t die enough 🙂
For the record, Torchielle and Kazima were (properly) on the opposite ends of most melees yesterday, so my direct observations was fairly limited. However, you only died once, and verged a handful of times, which, as the sole scrapper on the team, was pretty good.
Ok Mk…
I have seen the worst scrapper ever.
-Counter Taunting the Tank.
-Charging in to room and aggroing everybody…which led to everybody on the team dieing…twice.
-Disobaying one of the top 5 tanks in the Alliance.
-Tank says that they are going to pull to X corner, scrapper follows right behind and stops half of the pull and speads out the entire team because of this action.
-Not waiting for the tank to say go so none of the mob becomes a mass, and I can’t hold it…masive damage insues.
That is a bad Scrapper. I have no problems with how you Scrap…at all…ever.
Margie is one of the more controlled and careful — while deadly effective — scrappers I’ve encountered, to be honest (if biased). She’s always watching what’s going on around her, and her goals of (a) boss-killing, and (b) protecting the squishies, and (c) being where the scalpel needs to be applied at any given moment makes me think her as the cavalry (literally as well as figuratively).
Hmmm.
Tanks are the Infantry — taking and holding ground.
Blasters and Controllers are, in their own ways, artillery and close air support — blasting the bad guy positions or, at least, making them keep their heads down.
Defenders are … Logistics? Engineers?
Scrappers are the cavalry, or the Abrams’ tank columns swooshing over the dunes and berms at 60 mph …
1) Thanks for your feedback BD. I think that I just need to team more to see more play styles and tactics. (I tend to hesitate from random teaming because there are so many examples of bad teaming out there. But that makes it hard to learn and grow.) This leads me to point 2
2) Hmm, cross-referencing Dave’s comment about Mal and role-models. I just realized that outside of my immediate circle of friends I haven’t teamed that much with other scrappers. And even more rarely when I’m in a position to notice what they are doing. Also realized that I have in my mind the “best” tanks and controllers and a few thoughts on defenders and blasters but no metal list of the best scrappers – Hmm
