Last night, Velvet Jones had the chance for some late-night missions run through various zones of Paragon City, including the first-time-visited “Boomtown,” alongside an enigmatic new visitor to the city who goes by the nom de guerre of the Strategist. He seemed to be gathering information about the city and its inhabitants, including various metas.
Whatever. Velvet was just tickled that she dinged to 14, taking Super-Jump at the Strategist’s suggestion. The photo of the two of them was taken atop “the Giant Penny” at the Kings Row police station.

Must have been really late, since I didn’t see anybody on last night.
P.S. 12W-2L on kill frosty, as last night with Zazi was yet another cluster of not planning, not pulling, and having everybody and there mother just charge into the room.
On the bright side 10W-0L on the difuse the bomb mission.
It was … late enough. Time zone diffs notwithstanding.

When I told Strategist that my contact was sending me to Boomtown, he said, “Your contact hates you. He must be killed.” 🙂
Boomtown wasn’t so bad. I had to fly around for quite a while looking for members of the Council. When I found them, they were doing close-order drills! There was one Lieutenant facing seven Minions lined up in two rows, who were shifting stance in unison. It was one of those moments where you just sit there saying, “Wow. That is so-o-o-o cool!”
Yeah. It’s a very spooky/depressing place (insert “Boy, you haven’t seen nothing yet” comments from Doyce here). We zapped some Clockwors, then ran for the gate.
Global was down all last night so I couldn’t change it.
Both Zazi and Roben have Boomtown, Steel City, and the Hollows missions.
I think Clanks in Boomtown. I’m going to wait ’til they are up to 13/14 to tackle boomtown.
Though Roben’s Hollows is nasty Pumicites. Not looking forward to that at all.
Well Velvet was 13, Strategist was 11. They were relatively low level to me. But having two people is a hell better to do something like that than one.
I’ve gotten them while I’m 12, so by 13 they might have a lower number of purple people.
P.S. Found the Dance Party place last night in Steel, with connections to Talos and Indy Port (both much purple). People were actully dancing, and it was odd to find an in game Rave place.
Not being a dance club sort in RL, I declined an invitation I received IC. 🙂
Though, I suppose, it’s just the sort of place Velvet would hang out.
