The more things change …

2006-02-04_charity-ravenous.jpgWent ahead and brought Mister Ravenous and Charity at Home over from Virtue to Champion (and the CoI). It’s the third time I’ve done this (I believe I’d originally built him on Champion), but no regrets.
A solid evening of play got us both up to about 8.5. We ran through the Burke path, rather than Kalinda, which made it a bit fresher.
The pair of them work together, and playing a brute just remains plain fun. The comm chatter with them is pretty enjoyable, too.
I look forward to doing more with them and with the CoI.

  1. I really should whomp up a villain for the CoI. I’d like to play with you guys on the CoV side.

  2. You’d certainly be welcome.
Again, my own interest is more in the Heroic side of tihngs, but I wanted some good characters for us to play with when others are on with Villains.

  3. *ponders*
Keep Neverborn, or trash him for a CoI Atom Smasher, or something all togethor different…

  4. Out of character spots on Champion… So, yeah. Got to delete someone to make space.
Neverborn as a brute just hasn’t quite clicked for me. Spent some time tonight playing around with the idea of turning Neverborn into a Dark/Dark corrupter again, which may be what I end up doing since I really like the name. Or I may hold on to him as is until I7 allows the Dark Armor and Dark Melee sets for Stalkers and turn Neverborn into one of those. ( Though how DA’s “Debt Shroud” will work as a Stalker I just don’t know… Imagine it’ll be nixed for hide and everything else will shift around it. )
The only slot of hero I have that I feel like I might be able to bring myself to delete is my Warshade which I just don’t enjoy playing. That AT never quite clicked with me in the way Peacebringers did.
    Arrgh… Need more character slots…

  5. That is why we were trying to move he villians to Virtue. 🙂 (Had to delete Star Protector to make room for Charity on Champion)

  6. Really need that server transfer ability Real Soon Now.
Except, from what I understand, it’s seen more as badge/task/higher level ability, presumably to keep folks from essentially having (servers x 12) alts packed away for usage. Which is silly — once at a higher level, it’s less likely that folks would want to transfer to another server.
But if “abuse” of the matter is what the devs are concerned about, fine — put brakes on the ability. X transfers per month. But allow the flexibility to shift toons around between servers as *needed*.
I regret that Virtue didn’t pan out (for me, at least) as the CoV server of choice. A variety of reasons, but that’s how it is. I find it vaguely remarkable that, even with the benign neglect I’ve bestowed upon it (or perhaps because of same), the CoI is doing so well.
I’m going to run into that slotting problem with a Kheldian once I get to that point (depending on how Margie and I do up the Kheldian thing). Most likely Big Lungs will go away, at this point. We’ll see, though.
Got Ravenous/Charity up to 10+ last night (thanks to Margie and BD), so they’re almost caught up to their Virtue doppelgangers.

  7. Do you guys have a regular CoV night? I’d be more likely to log on Champion side if I knew friends were going to be around villain side to play with.

  8. It’s fairly irregular, I’m afraid, at least for Margie and me. More the exception than the rule, in fact.
