With Jackie over, and in-between other tasks, we’ve been busy doing various Christmas goodies — gift exchanges at a minimum, and Father Time mishes as possible.
Last night, we ended up hooking up with varoius New York people and ran through the Father Time mish several times. Velvet, got her gloves and boots (to go with the hat — which one wistful player, not around last Christmas, asked about). (In the picture, Velvet and Merrie Mayhem demonstrate the joy of knockup/down/back.
Also ran things with Mister Ravenous, which was also greatly amusing.
My only critique of the event is that the temp powers (rez and rings) only last for a short period of Real Time, which makes it unlikely the alts I get them on will ever actually use them. Ah, well — made for a few nice bonus titles and a chance to play some folks (like Velvet and Mr. R) whom I don’t get out nearly often enough …
Yes, the temp powers are a bit underwhelming do to the time limit.
Maybe I’ll run it with Zazi and see how she does.

The two temp powers are in Game Time, I think… the Jingle Jet is listed different as ‘real time’ — if so, then the 12 and 8 day time limit on them makes them damn near permanent.
I’m almost certain (but would have to go back in and see) that the two temp powers are Real Time, not Game Time. The latter would, yes, make them very long-term, but being aware of that made me look at the text more than once.
I could still be wrong. 😛
Well… it does say game-time on the powers, and Aeric still has them… well after 8 real-time days since he got ’em.

The rez power uses the same ‘Game day’ timer. The power descriptions are a bit unclear, but the time isn’t.
Conversely, the Christmas jetpack power Aeric got was 30 days, real-time. 🙁

There’s a setup option to do that, as I recall — though now I can’t seem to find it.
I’m a bit ticked about the timers — I was dead certain, from reading the descriptions when given that it was Real Time, which is one reason why I didn’t have more enthusiasm about running folks through the scenario.
Oh, well. Not that big a deal. 🙂
Yes, I’m more than a little pleased to have them on the folks I do (another hold for my controller, a Icey-Rise-Of-The-Phoenix rez on all my tanks (and Bear Claws) that packs AoE damage and Knockback), and similarly bummed that I didn’t manage to get them on quite a few other people who would have benefited from them (Strat, my dominator, etc). Ah well.
At the very least, Bear and Ginger now contribute two more holds to our “hold-erriffic, even without Controllers” Hostess Heroes.
It’s more frightening how many temp powers Kate managed to net by picking up christmas presents — a winter minion pet on a number of her toons, and snowballs, etc etc.
Though only Aeric managed to get a jet pack out of all of our toons — they were apparently quite rare this year.
