Links (most recent first) that caught my eye, but did not warrant full-blown blog entries ….
- Photo Of The Day – Analemma – Oooh … pretty …
- Tweet Fail: Joe
- Rove Does His Best Cheney Impression As He Eagerly Dismisses ‘Draft Cheney’ Rumors – I’m not quite sure how it’s being argued that 2008 was not a chance to “adjudicate the George W. Bush years in a direct way.”
- Plasma-in-a-bag for sterilizing devices – Oooh … cool …
- Balloon Juice » Always Room for Fearmongering in the Idiocracy – And, I point out, it’s the sort of thing you see every day on TV and movies, and nobody ever says, “Hey, that would actually be a grave danger to the President, so we should kick this show off the air and launch a full investigation of how the Secret Service would handle this!” No, everyone cheers and laughs and moves on. In this case, let the professionals do their work and start talking about, y’know, IMPORTANT THINGS.
- Obama’s Outreach in Asia Keeps Paying Off – The Washington Monthly – Diplomacy, talking, hard work? Well, yeah, you could do it that way, but it’s dull and boring and doesn’t play well with the media. Threatening to bomb the snot out of them — now that’s how a REAL AMERICAN would do the job!
- Sarah Palin’s Fake Bus Tour – What? Sarah’s not really riding in a big advertising bus down the highways and byways of the land, hearing stories, signing books, and ginning up support for a 2012 populist run? She’s actually flying around in a loaned Gulfstream jet.
- Girls Play With Wiis [Data] – I’d be curious to know more — but my two immediate reactions (which I immediately then worry sound terribly stereotyped) are (1) fitness programs and (2) cute avatars and relatively non-bloody games to play them in.
- Google Calendar Sneak Preview – This is actually pretty cool — though it only really helps when you have multiple people with Google calendars, of course.
- Dispensing prescription drugs in 3-month supplies reduces drug costs by a third
- New Moon – Yeah, I think I have better ways of spending an afternoon. Like, maybe, pouring kitchen cleanser in my eyes.

Eeep!
So many extra posts, so little time!
Yeah, not sure why it occasionally does that.
Alas, the other tool I was looking at, while very cool, was not what I needed for long-term. Will keep looking.
