Links (most recent first) that caught my eye, but did not warrant full-blown blog entries ….

  1. 03/21/2010 | FoxTrot.com – Comic books, Macs, and Web Standard Fights all in one comic? Gotta be Foxtrot!
  2. While Giving Obsessive Coverage To The Tea Parties, Media Ignored Larger Anti-War Rally – Ironically I read some Right-wing sites decrying this as well, spun as they were overblowing the unpleasantness of the TP meet while ignoring all that shameful anti-war rhetoric.
  3. GOP Rep. Nunes Excuses Racist, Homophobic Tea Partier Slurs As A Response To ‘Totalitarian Tactics’ – “A handful of people who just got stupid” sounds a bit like the GOP congressional delegation sometimes.
  4. Tea Partiers in DC Spit on Rep Cleaver; Call Frank “F****t”, Reps Lewis and Carson “N****r” – Wow. All the crazy burningness in a single set of paragraphs. Remarkable.
  5. Bishops Dismiss Other Catholic Groups: We’re The Only Ones Able To Understand Health Care Policy – I note how “conscience protections” has now leaked into the objections. For which read, “If someone says that a provision in a law violates their conscience, they don’t have to do it.” Which, honestly, is kind of a crazy way to treat law, since there isn’t a single law out there that someone cannot claim “conscience” to do what is forbidden or not do what is required. But, then, folks touting these things are usually assuming they will just be applied to Right-Thinking People like them.
  6. Rep. Barney Frank distributes ‘Little Punk Staffer’ buttons to Capitol Hill aides. – HA! Wear the demagogic calumny as a badge of honor, folks.
