Since Google Reader bothers to collect these stats, here’s my use of the tool:
From your 355 subscriptions, over the last 30 days you read 4,386 items, clicked 253 items, starred 56 items, shared 782 items*, and emailed 2 items.
Since December 16, 2005 you have read a total of 170,666 items.
*The “shared” stat is what ends up in the “Unblogged Bits” digest posts on my blog. Which I’ve been considering renaming to “Well-Digested Bits,” but that’s another story.
The “read” stats are a bit misleading. I’ll often click “mark as read” on a particular blog I don’t think I’ll catch up on, just to zero out the numbers. Similarly, the “starred” items aren’t necessarily “likes” but are things I’ve flagged to go back and read (or, from the office, view) later. I estimate I get back to about 25% of these, unfortunately.
The “clicked” and “shared” items are probably the more interesting stats. For me, at least.
