The FDA has been signalling since the late 70s it was going to rescind its ruling that it's safe for agricultural feed makers to include penicillin and tetracycline in feed, since it's been obvious for at least that long that it's only adding to the number of bugs out there resistant to those drugs.
Alas, it's now signalling (nearly below the radar) it's not going to do anything about the matter any time soon. Which is stupid, but I'm sure will make agribusiness happy. #ddtb
