No specific resolutions this year (or recriminations over resolutions past). Being a good husband to my wife, being a good father to my daughter, being a good friend to mine, and being a good person to the world around me — all blah-blah-blah generalities, in some ways, but heavy burdens and ones I am glad to try to shoulder this year. And every year.
Yeah, I'd like to lose weight, and submit my novel to a publisher or twelve, and do something bold and exciting and outside the box and life-changing … but if I can do those other things, I will not consider it a year wasted.
