'Every gun that is made, every warship launched, every rocket fired signifies, in the final sense, a theft from those who hunger and are not fed, those who are cold and are not clothed.'
That includes lobbing a few multi-million dollar cruise missiles.
That doesn't mean that there never a reason to take military action (Eisenhower, of all folks, would have bristled at such a notion). But we should always be aware of the cost in doing so, including the loss of money that could have gone to something else.
