I love Trader Joe’s. It’s a great store.
I think it grotesquely unfair that we don’t have one in Denver. We don’t have Ikea, either, which is also annoying, but somewhat less so (since buying goodies from TJ’s could be a much more common occurance than buying book cases from Ikea).
I understand the whole distribution/warehouse thing. I just think it’s unfair. I think the rich people who are getting big “economic stimulus” tax cuts should contribute their money to bringing Trader Joe’s to Denver. Just for me.
In the meantime, I’ll just make little trips there while I’m in California on business.
Unfair. It might even qualify as censorship. But it’s definitely unfair.
Meanwhile, from their site, today’s fun food fact:
Chicken Broth vs. Chicken Stock
Broth is made with a whole chicken or chicken parts. The cooked chicken meat is then pulled from the bones and added back to make a soup, or used in other dishes. Stock, on the other hand, is made from chicken bones which are cooked with vegetables for hours to make a flavorful liquid which is used as a base for soups and sauces.
