A new report by the radical fringe environmental group which calls itself the “US Geological Survey” indicates that drilling in the ANWR would harm caribou herds, snow geese flocks, musk oxen, and other so-called “wildlife.”

The Bush Administration downplayed the report, indicated it was made of outdated pixie dust and moonbeams, and should not play any role in the debate in the Senate over ANWR drilling. “We expect that the oil companies will summon ‘oil fairies’ to simply fly over the frozen tundra, wave their wands, and teleport oil to waiting offshore tankers. Any study which doesn’t use that assumption is clearly alarmist and the work of terrorists.”
