Coke is thinking of coming out (formally) with Vanilla Coke. Yum. Vanilla Cokes are a favorite of mine, a “diner” sort of drink going back fifty years. I can’t believe that they market that cherry dreck without a vanilla one.

Hmm… I think I will mix the two… Cherry Vanilla… it’s good when you get it at the soda counter…
(There’s a plance in Royal Oak, MI that has a coffee shop version of the soda counter – my friends were amazed when I walked up and started ordering stuff that wasn’t on the whiteboard, but the staff was like ‘cool, what will we name this combination?’)
I’m not much for cherry flavor — too much medication as a kid, I suspect — but I like the idea of more variations.
Of course, I’m also the kind of guy who likes ginger ale that burns the back of your throat.
