You mean you don’t watch “Alias” – which combines Jennifer Garner and spy plotlines? I would think men would be all over that.
Speaking for myself, I’m in it for the few scenes of Michael Vartan I get each week.
And the spy plotlines, of course.
Man, I’m so happy Cartoon Network is running Batman again regularly. Call me a curmudgeon, but Terry McGuiness just isn’t Bruce Wayne. Not that he was meant to be, but give me a break: The guy has an electronic suit which enhances vision, stamina, strength, dexterity, longevity, etc, etc, and he *still* can’t seem to look behind him long enough to dodge a punch Batman original would have seen coming a mile away.
Hmmm….to put a little corn in here; why not give McGuinness a pint of Guiness, and let him hang with some soccer hooligans for a month. Maybe they could teach him how to fight!
Bring back THE Batman!
I’ve steered clear of Alias, not because I don’t think it’s probably a great show (it comes highly touted by folks I trust) but because I get the impression it’s a “must-watch” show, and I just can’t afford any more of those. (Hell, that’s one reason why I’ve been, again, horribly lax in my Buffy/Angel watching this season. It irks the hell out of me, but there it is.)
As to Batman Beyond, I agree it’s not up to the “original.” I could defend Terry by noting that he’s still a neophyte, but I also secretly get a lot of joy of how incredibly competent the 70-odd-year-old Bruce Wayne is when he gets tossed into the action. I still enjoy BB, but enjoy the original even more.
Oh, you’re a Buffy/Angel fan…..ME TOO! I love those shows (although personally I think “Angel” sucks this year).
You can always tape “Alias” – especially since you are already watching other Sunday shows. Then when those shows are over you can watch “Alias”. C’mon – you don’t need SLEEP, do you? Most of us tv-addicts live quite well without it!
