You know his work

Drew Struzan is an artist, whose most popular work is movie posters. And he has a web site, natch. His work is distinctive, and always been a favorite of mine, using a combo of acrylic paint and colored pencils.

Some of the work he’s known for (and which will let you recognize his style):

The three Back to the Future movie posters.

The Harry Potter poster (on the cover of the video).

The classic Indiana Jones movie posters (for all three films). (He is arguably the Indy artist in different venues.)

A number of Star Wars posters, including the current Episode II.

Not to mention a whole bunch of books, many of them Star Wars and Indiana Jones-related (including the cover of the first edition Star Wars RPG), music albums (when he first started), and the cover of the current edition of Clue.

Cool, cool stuff.

The provision was left over from a less tolerant time in Colorado. Though Obergefell rendered it moot, #SCOTUS rumblings about possibly overturning that decision led to Colorado voters overwhelmingly pass a repeal initiative last year.

I feel bad for all the #vets who are facing foreclosure due to the #Trump regime arbitrarily yoinking a VA debt program without replacing it (or even sharing if they *will* replace it).

Sad, though not surprised, to see #NaNoWriMo .org shutting down. They helped me in doing a lot of the #writing I've done. While they made some serious missteps in recent years, I'll remember their efforts before that with fondness.

I Am Old Enough To Remember ... when much of the security failure of 9/11 was blamed on the patchwork of incompetent privately-owned companies doing #AirportSecurity , where profit motive incented hiring the lowest-cost workers, rules were different from airport to airport, and nobody had responsibility or accountability.

Not that the #TSA is not without fault, but the idea that if we just go with cut-rate rent-a-cops we can be safe *and* save money is truly laughable.
