When going on vacation, change the setting on “how many days should the main page show?” for your blog, so that folks don’t come back to your page three or four days later and see a whole lot of sidebar and nuthin’ else.
Hi, guys. I’m back. More in a bit …
I hit your site yesterday and almost fell out of my chair. Normally there is so much to read, it really threw me off…
That is my least favorite thing about MT. It’s like punishment for missing a couple days.
Welcome Back ***Dave! You were missed!
Thankee. I missed y’all, too.
I kinda liked the sidebar and nothing else, actually. It was really kind of zen. Check ***Dave’s blog. See the void.
“It is only in not posting that we read what we must know. It is only in lack of links that we are truly linked to what links us all.”
You can also add in a number to always show X number of posts on the main page, regardless of days. It’s what I use on my less-frequently updated blogs.
Hmmm. Yeah, that might work. I’ll give it a try.
Another way to get around this is discussed by MT’s own Mena Trott here.
