So this morning I find I’m having a problem posting to my blog. It takes forever and a day, and things eventually either hang, or else a message comes up saying, “Got an error: Connection error: Too many connections.”
Odd. I mean, I know I’m popular, but I can’t believe I’m supersaturating all the connections into HostingMatters, or even into my particular server. Or whatever that message means.
So I enter a support ticket.
Response comes back from the ever-helpful folks at HM that some yo-yo on my server (Kronos) is sucking up all the resources (including connections) for the MySQL instance there. But rather than just terminate the bum, or telling me to wait, the offer to quickly and painlessly move me to another server (Calliope) while they resolve the issue.
Take notes, people: that’s customer service, all around.
They continue to amaze and impress me. Did you know they gave Glenn his own server? And an incredible deal on his monthly rate? Fabulous people.
Huh. Cool. Actually, I’d figure Glenn would probably need his own server …
Aren’t they great? Reminds you that there are some people still providing service in this world of ours.
If I could have children, I’d pop a couple for them.
