A nifty new study indicates that anti-bacterial soap is no better than “normal” soap in killing germs.
What’s not clear from this study is whether it also refutes the allegation that anti-bacterial soaps are helping promote soap-resistant germs.
What it does establish is that just washing your hands is really effective at reducing germs, regardless of what kind of soap you have.

Kim (being a soap maker) has railed about this one for a long while.
The problem is that it isn’t wine-based!
The most effective parts of hand-washing have been proven to be the friction and rinsing parts. It barely matters what kind of soap one uses. All it takes is the effort.
But I do like the wine-based idea …
But is it true that it is the suds that actually kill the germs and not cheap, slimy, liquid soap (that my boss buys) that wouldn’t suds up no matter how much friction is induced?
