Bitch of a drive home tonight. I’ll be the first to admit I’ve gotten to be gun-shy about icy highways (a few sliding-360-turn-sliding-into-intersections-sliding-into-dividers will do that to you). But I saw plenty of other vehicles twisting, turning, and sliding along C470 in the Kipling/Santa Fe area, too, so I’ll just be glad I got home safely.
And that I have a wife who knows how to mix a martini.
Check out my blog. I am just south of C-470 and Quebec. I work from home so it wasn’t bad for me, but have to head to Thornton tomorrow evening to teach class. I am hoping for more snow and I will cancel!
I’m just above C-470 and Quebec. Already decided I’m “telecommuting” in the morning.
Quit! You say Kipling. I start crying. I’m feeling a little “homesick” for Colorado.
Drive carefully!
Well, just keep concentrating on the icy roads in the winter and the drought conditions in the summer. Then you won’t feel nostalgic for the gorgeous views, dry air, and friendly people.
My normal 40 minutes turned into 2.5 hours last night!! I was glad though because I think the added time was people just being cautious. I didn’t see one accident the whole way home.
Yeah, I know what you mean. It sprinkled for almost 20 minutes the other day. CA Route 91 was a mess!
