Hilarity — and the closure of the security line for ten minutes — ensued.
Now it seems that, under the post-9/11 security laws, she may face up to three years in prison …

Sweet Mary, so it is now an act of terrorism to bare your breasts in an airport. Yikes!
Likely she had an underwire bra on… triggering both the detector and the need to ‘adust’ after certain motions…
And I would like to know what *tone* the ‘pat-down’ was conducted in. She was French. How much was the wand guy leering? And then he had to ‘pat her down?’ Yeah. I’d be willing to show them I had nothing to hide to keep his filthy hands off me, too…
I am both cynical and skeptical on this one.
Is there a ‘test’ button on those wands – as in: can you make it seem like it is getting a reading when there is in reality nothing triggering it?

Actually, according to the local newspaper, it was a wand gal (and it’s a female DA that’s prosecuting and deciding which charges, precisely, to file).
Not that there mightn’t be something murkier going on here, of course.
Considering how much we are search when getting on an airplane, flying naked might make this much simpler. Although, 10 hours in a plane filled with naked people might be more frightening than terrorism…
