I woke up on the wrong side of the bed, so that things I enjoy reading seem too repetitious to post, and things that I dislike reading are too much effort to refute. Maybe more later. I have go do taxes and blow up Unreal aliens.
UPDATE: Or maybe I’ll just read comic books all day. And watch Monsters, Inc. multiple times.
You need a Tolkien Baseball team! 🙂
Well Dave, Sometimes ya gotta do, what ya gotta do…
Also, regarding and earlier post the I forgot about until the line about comic books…
Which Crossgen books are you reading Dave?
I noticed you participate in a few interactive blogs, such as “This or That Tuesday”, “Friday Five” etc. Maybe you’d be interested in checking out Monday Madness on Monday. The url is: http://mondaymadness.blogspot.com. Maybe we’ll see you there. It’s new so consider giving it a try.
Speaking of comics, did you happen to read FF #67? Love the cover, but I’m not sure I like what seems to be a very drastic change to my all-time favorite comic book character.
Stan: I’m regularly reading Sojourn, Way of the Rat, Ruse, and just picked up the first ish of Solus (on the strength of the George Perez art). I also collect the trades for Meridian.
Oh, and Crossovers, too.
Scott: I’ve been mixed on Waid’s run on FF. I tihnk what we’re seeing here is part and parcel of the near-revisionism he’s indulged in. I think it makes a lot of sense in this case (though I’d have rather seen this issue spread as B-plot over three or four more issues). But the change to the appearance? Bah. Messing with a classic for no good reason; that, if nothing else, will mean the change goes away some time in the future.
OttO: Thanks. I don’t even get to all the ones I have listed (and sometimes don’t get to the one I run), so I’m probably going to decline. If I see it on others pages, and it inspires me, maybe. But thanks again.
Load up Shrek on the tube and then laugh a lot!
Y’know, Shrek is okay, and has some nice spots to it, but it has a mean streak underneath it that I find more than occasionally disturbing. Especially for, say, Kitten viewing.
