We’ve all heard (and complained) about the US military code name for the Iraq War: Operation Iraqi Freedom.
So what’s the British code name?
Operation Telic. I wasn’t sure what it meant, either, until I looked it up. Cool. And much classier than the US name.

Operation: Drain the Ba’ath
Hey — that’s catchy.
I liked their code name for Basra. Operation James. As in Bond.
We could rehash and change WWII operations. But, somehow, Operation Lord Over probably wouldn’t go over very well.
