Taxes away!

Actually, we should get a nice little refund from both Uncle Sam and Uncle Bill. Hmmmm. Margie’s bonus is paying for the house exterior to be painted. Maybe this will pay for our getting steps put in up the front yard.

  1. Cool! Daves painting all summer.

I got screwed over by the state for being unemployed for 9 months…1 pay period going to our boy Bill for highways…

  2. And I just learned something interesting. In XP, if you print something to a printer you’re not connected to (like, oh, say, being at home and printing a tax return to your default printer, which happens to be at the office), then when you reconnect to the printer (when you go to the office, for example), it will print out the queued job (e.g., your tax return), without your being aware of it until you happen to stroll by the printer a few hours later.

    Interesting, indeed.

  3. Yeah…

Nothing like having all of that personal info just hanging out out there for everyone to read to make your life interesting.

    “Hmmm…

So that’s how much my boss Dave makes, and wait, there is his social security number…”

    Good times…Good times…

  4. On the bright side, it printed with a banner page, so that was covering up the familiar form.

On the other hand, the banner page said “Tax return” on it, since that was the file name.

Still, I think most people in my office would have, if they noticed it, probably brought it over to me with a grin, unread. We’re pretty decent folks here, and it’s not like I’m the only one printing off a hardcopy of his taxes.
