I love my friends. I love my family. I appreciate their wanting to wish me a Happy Birthday, or otherwise involve me in activities by phone that I enjoy being involved in. There is not a single individual phone call — of the five I believe I received tonight — that I would rather not have received.
But in aggregate, it made for a rather — harried evening. Maybe next year, we’ll go out … 🙂
On the other hand, there is little to warm the cockles of your heart during the day than to receive a phone call from your three-year-old singing you “Happy Birthday,” especially as accompanied by your wife. That was neat.
Sorry, sorry, sorry… a thousand times sorry 🙂
Having said that, Sian got the coolest entrance of all for the night, I think… sliding in a nice 360 from feet to knees back to feet across the throneroom in a rush of water, the spear sailing to your hand… the pithy one-liner…
Still, very very sorry. 🙂
Well, if it had been that huge a deal, I guess I could have said something …
And it did give me a chance to give the most awful line of the night — “Don’t be idle, toss the guy with the whip!” Though, “Macy, you’re beating a dead horse” was pretty fun, too.
Thats right…
You were the first guy for pie last year.
Happy late Birthday Dave!
Happy belated birthday, Dave!
Happy Belated Birthday!
Happy Birthday, Dave!
Thankee, all.
So Dave…
Did Doyce have you do a Gaming Guesting for Chysalis A on your Birthday?
If so what happened?
and where are those lovely apples?
Why, yes. Yes, he did. The fifth and final phone call of the evening (interspersed with repeated Guest Appearances from Katherine upstairs), just as I had watched yet another 30 seconds of “Serenity” …
And I’ll be journaling it, never fear.
