Well, with all respect to Annie Lennox, I’m not sure I’d go with the Original Song win. I didn’t dislike it as much as some — I just felt the two original songs (i.e., “End Credit Pop Music Tracks”) from the previous two were substantially better.

Still, my Lord — it’s almost getting respectible to be a geek.

  1. I agree. I didn’t particularly like that song, although I thought the lyrics were pretty good. I was still glad they won that one though! It’s amazing that they won all 4 noms. But Enya’s song, for example, was much better and more appropiate for LOTR. Oh well..

  2. I thought Enya’s song was the best. The one in TTT was appropriately spooky, but not really in keeping with the rest of the score. The RotK one was okay, and I like Lennox, but it was the least seamless with the movie.

  3. I’ve really liked the music from the three movies, but wonder if the songs tacked on are to try and break into additional sales/awards categories.

Enya was the best of the three, I’ll agree.

One thing I wish they had as an option for the subtitles–where’s the Elvish subtitles all the way through?

    🙂
