Gaming fools this weekend.
Tonight, Necropolis. We’re more than ready to kick some butt and watch Jackie do her GMing thing. Margie’s been doing some tweaks to Kazima, in light of some GM adjudications. Me? I just want to hurt things, having suffered too many instances thus far of tulwar interruptus …
Saturday, Chrysalis, Doyce’s Nobilis campaign. After various discussions in the last two weeks, I have about five contradictory things I want to try. Doyce hints broadly he has much the same idea. Fasten your seat belts …
Sunday, In Deo Confidemus, my Spycraft game. Final session with the current drug-dealers-in-Detroit scenario. I hope. This one could be bloody. On the bright side, we’ve learned a whole bunch about how Action Dice work since last session.
Oh, and the usual collection of other stuff to do. Errands to run. Christmas decor to (finally) remove. That kind of thing.
Should be plenty busy.
Whatever happened to good ol’ D&D?
Heh. Well, both Necropolis and Spycraft are D20 (D&D core rules) systems. Necropolis is actually a Gygax set of modules, so that’s pretty close to “good ol’ D&D.”
Margie plays in a “straight” D&D game, but I take that night off.
Necropolis: Some good old-fashioned carving up the bad guys. Hanthor finally got a chance to Do His Thing, complete with getting (mildly) snarky with a god, a bit of character conflict, and drawing some “Holy Crap!” comments from the peanut gallery when I mentioned some damage rolls.
Chrysalis: Doyce is determined to keep me from doing anything productive by way of throwing such personal roadblocks up it’s a wonder I actually managed to have conversations with my familia this time out. Ate the third apple, and while in some ways less mindblowing than the second, in some ways it was more. Yeesh.
In Deo Confidemus: Finally finished the third assignment, basically an all-session infiltrate-and-shoot-em-up. I was fading a bit by the end, so things wrapped a little abruptly, but without any NPCs doing anything out of charater.
We didn’t run any errands, and the Christmas stuff is still up. On the other hand, I did 80% of my prep for next Sunday’s IDC game, and I went to the zoo Friday with Katherine, so it was a fine weekend.
