A UN drug agency notes that apparently too many people, particularly middle-class Americans, find the idea of injecting heroin to be too icky. The result? Drug traffickers are developing heroin cigarettes.
Wow. Bet Phillip Morris is sorry they didn’t think of that one.
Morbidly, it occurs to me that this will at least reduce AIDS and hepatitis infections from sharing needles. On the other side, doubtless it will have as many, if not more, health side effects from, well, smoking.
Of course, with the proportion of the populating in the US who smokes continuing to dwindle, this, too, seems like a dead-end market (so to speak). Maybe something in a patch …
