Streaming Video (and Streaming Audio) across our WAN sucks. Where the hell did I put that (low tech) radio?

We’re not allowed to use streaming video/radio, and I’m in the center of a freaking building (no AM and very little FM) . I wish I was like my co-workers that seem to have stayed home this morning.

If you’re trying to listen to Air America (I know, I know, my new current obsession) there’s a feed through the Portland station that I can use at work. It doesn’t use Real Audio, thus it isn’t blocked by the corporate firewall.

Or if you’re not, keep plugging away at finding an alternate feed for AM radio.

And if nobody else came in to work… who cares? 😉

The only positive thing I can say about #LindseyGraham is that his "never met a #war I didn't like" attitude may have kept the US supporting #Ukraine against Putin's invasion (and Trump's indifference).

Aside from that, he was always eager to send troops anywhere at the drop of a hat, and the brief moments of treating #Trump as the ass he is were followed by utter collapse and brown nosing to a point that folk wondered what kompromat Trump had on him.

The AP headline's headline should read (since it's largely what's in the story):

"California mail voting rules worked, 150K ballots rejected"

Trump objections have always been "votes come in late and still count, anyone can send in a ballot" etc. The article makes it clear California is preventing that, despite the headline.

The #Trump administration has finally come up with an odd rationale for banning #windfarms : they confuse radar, so drones can sneak past them and do drone things, so clearly they are an existential #nationalsecurity risk.

I am not a fancy-talking diplomat or politician, but this sure looks like a shake-down to me -- basically, charging all shipping through the Strait of Hormuz a 20% tariff to pay for the costs of keeping the Strait open which were largely necessitated by Trump's actions in the first place.

Must be nice to have a great big navy to extort people with.

#Trump continues to fire anyone who's not a zealous supporter or deep-pocket contributor, as enabled by #SCOTUS. In this installment, he's basically emptied out the #ElectionAssistanceCommission leadership. That "independent" agency certifies voting machines, maintains the national mail voter registration form, etc.

A good friend of mine spent several patient minutes explaining, procedurally, how Trump's call could have had no effect on the re-evaluation of #Balogun's red card.

Even granting that, the stench of corruption around both #Trump and #FIFA make even ultimately disproven accusations seem credible.

Ironically, the best thing that happened to the US #Soccer Team was losing the Belgium, as any overall wins would have been tainted by Trump's inappropriate actions.
