What I always thought of as the Grandmother of All Memes in the blogosphere, the Friday Five, has shut its doors.
As someone who maintained something similar for far less than 2½ years, my hat’s off to Heather both for her persistence and for her willingness to pull the plug.
My own meme-closure marked a time when I myself was getting out of the daily meme-grubbing schtick. I don’t seem to have been hurting for things to write about since, but it was an interesting couple of years where that was all the rage.
Anyway, just a time passages note. Life goes on.
