Doyce documents an odd, but probably-not-too-surprising, gaming store encounter I had.
The interesting thing is that Big Daddy mentioned it when the cashier called out my name confirming my drivers license and credit card matched.
“Does the credit card say David C. Hill?”
“I didn’t notice, but I recognize the name.”
It was one of those, “I stared, then blinked” moments. 🙂
The other side light of the trip was my telling Katherine we were going to the game store to buy her some dice. This got a measure of enthusiasm, but nothing too wild. A few moments later, she said, “Can we go to the toy store?”
“No, I said we were going to the game store.”
Pause. “But I think they have a lot of games there, too.”
Heh.
