Some good pics I found from the Con and the Masquerade:

Good collection here, including Masquerade pics (backstage) of Beast Boy, a piece of Optimus Prime, and one of the LotR groups.

But the definitive site for the Masquerade is definitely here, including Beast Boy (more), the Fairy Dancers, many of Harley Quinn, Death, Mina Harker, a really good Aragorn, the JLA (again), Raven, Spider-Man, the Easterlings, the Forest Creatures, Padme et al., Optimus Prime, the LotR/Friends pastiche, the Droids You’re Looking For crew, and lots, lots more (including from the rest of the Con). Excellent site.

  1. Wow…Beast boy turned out pretty cool. Looks like he was gaving a grat time too.

BENDER! Thats a great photo. I love all the Jedi’s standing around mocking serious…and Bender pulling a cool one out of his chest.

Great Aragorn! Not just the costume, but the guy looks kingly.

Love the painted Fairy wings…very nice.

And I’m going to have to thank Ms. A for making my day… with her great…um…impression of most wonderful Harly Quinn.

  2. Unfortunately, the second site isn’t displaying pictures for me. Even right-clicking on the box with the little red “x” and selecting “show picture” won’t cause it to display.

    sob

  3. look at all the pretties!

yeah, the cosplay.com folks are good people. thanks for posting those pics mr. dave, and thanks for the kind words, boulder dude. some of the hq’s are still pretty blurry…my fault–i think i couldn’t stop chuckling at the fact that my uh, enthusiasm, and 17 inches of fabric, were generating such a response. i was also delighted to find this site , which includes two short video montages from the event (no dancing beast boy though, boooo).

  4. Odd how Failed to mention the Strawberry Shortcake girl.;->

A whole group doing Final Fantasy…cool.

A woman doing a better Catwoman then Ms. Berry.

    A fun Cpt. Jack Sparrow.

    Go-Go Yubari!

What’s her face from The Ruse (can’t remember).

    Jay and Silent Bob!

Chii! Or it could be Freya…either way cool.

So…when did Hunter S. Thompson become a comic book character?

    Ooohhh…A really good Kronen.

    Witch Hunter Robin!

    Aww…A twi-lek for Randy.

    An old school Green Lantern.

Now I’m confused by the woman with Takumi’s Trueno…I guess she must be Mogi. Hmmm. Must be two Mogi’s.

    *snort*

    A She-Hulk!

Now here’s an observation. Looking through all of the Pictures there was one that stood out as a bit on an anomaly. There were no woman combatants (other then Padma, and Laia) in the Star Wars movies. None of the pilots, none of the combat troops, well there is the one Twi-lek Jedi, but it just struck me as odd all of a sudden.

  5. >Sounds like another Slimbrowser URL-filtering ‘error,” is my guess.

Well, IE 6 has the same problem.

    grumble

I was able to view the videos, though. Reflective! Err, shiny?

  6. Awesome! I was searching around before school this morning and found your site; I was actually stunned to see my picture at all but even more so by the sheer skills you posses to get so many pictures (I barely got any the entire time *cries*) On behalf of my mother and myself I want to thank you for your awesome photos; she couldn’t be there to see it but I sent her a link to your page and she loved it as well.

PS: If you have trouble figuring out who I am, I was the chick in the big red can can dress with the parisol. Heh.

  7. Um, actually, the pictures above are all links to either the gallery pages, or, where individual JPGs are linked to, the gallery page is also linked to (as credit). I don’t think there’s any theft there.

  8. Where can I find the winners of the Masquerade? I attended, but left during the judging to beat the incredible traffic rush. I hope the winner was… BEAST BOY! BEAST BOY ! BEAST BOY ! Yeah !!
