Here’s the guilty party… 🙂 I’ve been a regular reader of Random Encounters for months, but I wasn’t aware of your site until Doyce mentioned it in his post about game logs. Some great stuff here, so keep it going!
And yes… google translations ARE freaky. I remember a time when – just for laughs – a portuguese reporter translated Bill Clinton’s testimony about the Monica Levinski(?) business using google or altavista and published the best bits in a magazine. Oh man… I must have ruptured something while laughing so hard… if your read between the (translated) lines, oral sex seemed to be the most innocent thing old Bill did!
As someone who doesn’t speak Portuguese, I’ll certainly laud Google (et al.) for providing at least a rough translation service, though I’d never rely upon it for anything major. 🙂

Sure, the translations services are invaluable… and the best part is they’re free to use! I use them sometimes for pages in German and stuff, and it’s like magic. Suddenly you understand most of it!
Just making a funny point, eheh. I’m told if you use these things to translate your texts into a foreign language and them translate them back to the original language you get very entertaining results… whatever that means. The only thing I’m pretty sure is your text can become more cryptic than the Kaballah, eheh. Take care!
