Katherine has HK dress shoes (cute), a HK computer game (actually kind of fun), and a HK DVD (godawful).
Upon consideration, HK is a much better franchise (aside from the videos), than, say, Strawberry Shortcake (Jackie).

Hello kitty: Odd, but I had no idea it was the Ikea of the kiddie set.
Stawberry Shortcake: Again, No idea of the existance of this product, and the fact that there seems to a lot of it in this country.
A first person shooter…I guess I dont have the same level of hated for these characters yet. But, I do have to kill Ewok’s and Gungan’s every time I go into bestbuy and walk past the SW:B game display.
I can follow that specific not Jackie rule there are ways around it :). So that’s like a big NO right? Not like a thinking about it and maybe down the road do it right?
And *ahem* you boys are a little old to know about Strawberry Shortcake. That is a Gen X product and yes she will be getting more Strawberry Shortcake dvds per her request. I might even throw in the Care Bears for her this year (another Gen X retro thing). You will throw yourself at my mercy and beg for Hello Kitty! :).

I also agree that the HK video is odd. However the product branding on everything imagined is less intrusive than the SS. I think that’s because it is usually limited to being pink with a single kitty on it as opposed to large strawberry shortcake scenes across the whole product.
I’d definitely have to rank CBs as worse than SS, which is in turn worse than HK. So Jackie can choose accordingly. 🙂
