So I’m starting up the stairs, and I hear something. Katherine’s saying something loud and emphatically. I prick my ears and …
“Honey, come here.”
Margie and I stand at the base of the stairs, listening to Kitten up in her room, reading Fox in Socks aloud. Working carefully but confidently on the words and sounds. Doing far better than I thought she could do.
A very, very proud moment, indeed.
UPDATE: When I talked with Katherine about it later, she was very proud of herself, too. Though she said that she’d skipped a few pages, but that she’d also read a few pages of Green Eggs and Ham, too. Wow.
Bravo! Hurrah! Hooray! My heartiest congratulations!!!

First off let me say Yay Kitten!
Secondly, that used to be my favorite drinking game after mexico..
You had to drink when you messed up a word, but you got to give out shots for every page you read correctly.
Good times!
