Frankly, I think “young children” are too young to be taught “the valuable lessons of conservatism” — or of “liberalism,” for the matter. I don’t want Katherine being taught that liberals as a group are politically correct meanies out there who will try to steal her money, scoff at her prayerfulness, and deprive her of free thought, any more than I want characterized to her that conservatives are as a group corrupt moneybags who are out to rob her of free speech, repress her sexuality, and consign her to a slave wage hell.
Frankly, I’m a lot more happy with books that teach her to be polite, pick up her room, and be friendly to others. She’ll pick up enough ill-formed political generalities from comments she overhears from her parents, reject all of it when she’s a teenager, and make up her own mind when she’s an adult. That’s the American way, after all.

Well Yay!
Yes, the both of you and your friends and family.
Kitten will really have a well rounded political out look that is for sure. 🙂
I got no problem with that. 🙂
