  1. Wish Micro$oft would put half that much effort into finding out what people want and delivering it. (Did any user ever tell them; “what I really want is a slicker Start button!”?)

    Back in the DOS days I used to make an alphabetized list of available applications show up on the prompt screen. Point-and-click (once I loaded the mouse driver) and my users never had to use the command prompt itself unless they wanted to. Worked great and even novice users could find what they wanted in one or two seconds.
