For those as keep track of such things, my Amazon wish list and Katherine’s are both updated for the season.
For mine, new or used are both acceptable options for most things, as long as its in usable condition.
For Katherine’s, you can consider these both specific requests and general inspirations of what she’s interested in, based on:
- Repeated requests prompted by TV commercials.
- A wander through the Target toy department.
- My own personal prejudices about what she should want.
Margie has given up on updating her wish list. She likes books, new or used, cooking or non-. Yeah, I don’t know what I’m getting her, either … 🙂
One might notice that there are, in fact, “Strawberry Shortcake” video products in the mix. After consideration, I’ve figured that any Christmas wish list item that doesn’t include this is probably worth not worrying too much about.
3. My own personal prejudices about what she should want.
This made me chuckle because I am guilty of it as well.
I am pretty sure my younger sister ( 26 on Wednesday ) has the He-Man and She-Ra christmas special on her amazon.com list, I know she has both Ewok Adventures which are apparently now available at Best Buy for $10 or something like that.
What she has been lamenting is that the long He-Man / She-Ra movie where the character of She-Ra is first introduced isn’t on DVD yet.
Personally, I am leaning more towards the Thundercats or the Batman : The Dark Knight animated series from WB so many years back ( where I think season 3 either won or was nominated for an Emmy ).
Haven’t introduced Katherine to Thundercats as yet. Not sure why, since it’s one of my faves from the era (and Cheetara rocks).
I think you’re thinking of Batman the Animated Series (BTAS), which is now finally getting season disc set treatment (and is on *my* wish list). Katherine’s watched some of those, though they’re a bit scary/dark for her. She prefers the accompanying Superman and Justice League series, which are all on heavy rotation.
Margie has given up on updating her wish list.
Which tells me that if Margie got her OWN NAME for a gift exchange, she wouldn’t know what to buy. Talk about ‘hard to buy for’.
Oh, she’d find something to get … she just wouldn’t know ahead of time what it was until she saw it. 🙂
