I’ve been wearing a hat during my lunchtime walks for over a year now. It’s both a comfort thing and a safety thing (the evils of UV on my not-very-well-covered noggin). I’ve had one hat (a rather rigid fedora with a mesh top) that’s done me well during that time, but I’ve found a new love.

The Dorfman Pacific hat at right is great. It’s light, it’s broad-brimmed, it’s comfortable, it’s stylish, and it comes in XXL size.

The latter is particularly important, because I have a 7-3/4 head. Most XLs go up to 7-1/2 or 7-5/8 max. With my hair trimmed short, I can just fit into the upper range of most XLs, but having an XXL is fabulous.

I got mine here (or, more specifically, here). Well worth the bucks.
