Managed to put the finishing touches on a fairly complicated spreadsheet for doing some reporting to the Boss in the way he wants it. Felt very satisfied and pleased, as if I’d actually accomplished something of lasting value.
Also managed to determine that another program that I must use (to provide other reporting to the Boss in the way he wants it) is nearly unusable, about which I can do nothing but bitch and moan and forward my complaints to other people and continue to use it. Felt frustrated and irked, as if my productivity were being further frittered away.
Ah, well.
