The weekend seemed to go by in a blur. Saturday was prep for, and execution of, Margie Gras (the May Edition). Stan, Doyce, Dave & Lori, Jackie, visiting Lorne, Matt, Lee and De (and Rachel, to keep Katherine occupied) — plenty of fun, plenty of food and drink, and not enough sleep.
The hot evening entertainment was Airplane! and Iron Chef “Octopus Battle.” We are such wild and crazy guys.
Sunday was breakfast and hanging out with those who stayed over, including watching The Incredibles. The afternoon turned out to be a big CoH-fest, we had dinner at Pho Saigon near the house, came home and watched Doctor Who, and hit the sack.
There was a weekend in there somewhere, but darned if I know where. Certainly no time to run errands, work in the yard, do bills, or anyt of those other sorts of things.
This week — a very busy schedule for work (already), plus Margie is off on another business trip Tue-Wed, so I get to be Mister Mom, too (even as I pine away).
Yes, it was a fun party. 🙂
You forgot to mention the zingers. No Hill-Kleerup party is complete without double-entendres and sarcastic responses to match.
It was great to meet you all without names floating over your heads.
Thank you again for the hospitality. The party was quite fun.
What was the name of that port? I have a dream of finding a bottle out here.
It was a rich and rewarding experience meeting you in the flesh as well, sir, and a pleasure to extend our hospitality.
The port was a 1990 Smith Woodhouse Late Bottled Vintage Porto (bottled 1994)
The ice wine was a Jackson-Triggs 2004 Reserve Vidal Icewine (from Canada’s Niagara Peninsula).
