Trip out to California last evening was generally uneventful. We’re out a few days early before the big annual family camp-out (KOA, the “Kleerup Organized Activity”), as Margie had a business trip to Oakland for today. So the Ks are watching Katherine today, I’m in the Pasadena office, and Margie’s in, well, Oakland.
That meant that Katherine and I duoed the trip out, which was fun once she got over the sniffles of saying good-bye to Mommy. She did great though — started to fade and snooze about 20 minutes out of the airport, but was awake and chattering with Mor-Mor in the back seat all the way home. Crashed at about 11 p.m. (local) — and got up at aout 5:45 while I was showering, went downstairs, and I found her there curled up and asleep in Ginger’s lap. Too cute, and I ought to have taken a picture.
The typical brutish commute from Villa Park up to Pasadena — 90 minutes, give a scosh Ick. I spend more time, in total, commuting back and forth in a day on that route that it takes to fly from Denver to LA. Going to see if I can office at a much more convenient office tomorrow.
That said — the scent from the star jasmine they have planted outside the office was just lovely.
