Managed to actually get the KOA pics up and loaded. These don’t include anything shot by anyone other than me (I, for one, am hoping for a Helen shot of me briefly on skis), but they give the general flavor of the weekend.

  1. Actually, not nearly as bad as the picture implies, though I’m glad I took it because it has a real “Gah!” factor to it.

    1. Taken with my cell, so it’s slow, so you get things looking a lot bigger than they are.

    2. Almost all gnats, with occasional other non-biting bugs. Really. I don’t think I got a mosquito bite all weekend. Certainly didn’t see anyone spraying (aside from sunblock).

    3. This was a wet year, so more bugs than usual.

    4. This was a single spotlight in the middle of pitch darkness. Damn straight any bugs in the area were going to zwoosh over to it. That’s actually kind of a feature, not a (so to speak) bug, as it meant they weren’t over by anyone else.

So … hope it wasn’t *too* offputting. 🙂
