Or four. Or six. Depending on how you count it. 🙂

UPDATE: We got Honey (name subject to change — it has been about 5 times already) at the Denver Dumb Friends League shelter on Quebec. Lovely facility, very professional and friendly people, well-organized process.

She’s about 2 years old. She’s a spayed female, though that was subsequent to her having a litter about a month or so ago. Red tabby domestic shorthair mix. Kind of quiet, but friendly.

She didn’t much care for the drive home, but eventually settled down (Margie took her out of the carrier box and held her in her arms — despite a few frantic moments, Honey never used her claws). We have her ensconced in the guest room (appropriately enough) with her own food, water, and litter box. After a few days there (with sniffing and smelling under the door between the cats), we’ll let her out (though we’ll lock down the outside access) for at least a few days.

We set her down on the guest bed, and she made a swift but not panicky bee-line to under the bed — but a glance under there showed her just kinda chilling, and doubtless she’ll be making herself at home very soon.

New chapter for the household … 🙂
