KK at our soiree.

UPDATE:  Kaylee had a lot of fun out on the deck.  In the rain (well, drizzle, mostly in the times that it was allowed, but the deck was nice and wet).  And, of course, she had a great time trying to push her head through the uprights of the deck, which (yay) can’t be done.

We had a great rainstorm here, a bit of hail, a nice deep watering.  Showers at the moment.  Made BBQ a bit difficult, but by no means impossible.

  1. Yes, the news report this morning said that it was an 1″ rain minutes during that time the someone was offered an umbrella to roll up their windows. ;P

  2. At one point, there was this sudden flurry of activity from both Jackie and Stan along the lines of “Oh, not sure if the windows are rolled up.”

Stan ran out quickly, and Jackie was headed out when I thought of umbrellas and offered one to her (albeit a very small, wimpy travel one, all that was at hand).

Stan was pretty soaked when he came back (minus his slipping on the entry tiles); Jackie was soaked from the knees down.

    Good rain, though.

  3. Yes…

Running in from the downpour I hit the tiles and slipped. my feet went out from under me and I proceeded to do a classic Chevy Chase prat fall, landing on my back and smacking my head on the threshold.

What was really odd, but in a really good way, was that I didn’t do anything more then skin my knee (and I have no clue how I did that). 😀
