I love it when someone in authority makes arbitrary (or even well-considered) significant decisions for you, then when you ask about specifics of how to make it happen, tells you, “Your call.”

(I’m reminded of a very high-priced consultant who was mapping out some very broad and transforming strategies for my company. When questioned about particulars and perceived roadblocks, he’d wave it off with, “That’s an implementation detail.”)
