I”m sure someone in our HR group thought that a full-color brochure of this year’s benefits, e-mailed out to every employee, was a lovely idea. And, beautifully printed, I’m sure it would be stunning.

But, ah, 99% of the printing of this document will be done, I suspect, on monochrome (black and white) printers. And that just turns the docs into an inky, muddled mess, chewing up $5 worth of toner, and a lot more difficult to scribble notes on.

I mean — am I the only guy in the world who prints out these things?
